John's Background Switcher, or JBS, is a background changer. The application has been built-up from the ground by a single person. JBS is an astounding piece of software that allows you to randomize your background pictures in many ways. The application will sit on your tray most of the time. From there, it will grab pictures from Photo sharing services like Flickr, Picasa, etc and display them on your desktop. The application can also take pictures from your local computer. You simply have to direct it to a folder with pictures and JBS will do the rest. There are many options for the process, though. You can show single pictures in full screen, or you can have thumbnails, or even more than one picture at a time on the background. The one visualization option I liked the most was the one that showed real-life Polaroids with your pictures in it. The application is original, creative, and, above all, terribly stable. This is also a free application that works with most web services out there, so you can't go wrong by trying it.
